WorkBook Sample Chapter:

Chapter 1 - The Enslaved System vs the Entrusted System

Overview

It is crucial that we understand the stark contrast between the enslaved

system, ruled by Mammon, and the entrusted system, designed by

God. The enslaved system thrives on a scarcity mindset, instilling fear,

hoarding, and unhealthy competition. It is marked by exploitation,

where people and resources are reduced to mere tools for personal

gain, and deception, where appearances and short-term success take

precedence over truth and integrity.

In contrast, the entrusted system operates on Kingdom principles,

emphasizing stewardship—the recognition that all wealth belongs

to God, as affirmed in Deuteronomy 10:14. It fosters an abundance

mindset, encouraging trust in God’s provision, as Jesus taught in

Matthew 6:31-33. Generosity and integrity define this system, directing

wealth toward serving others and conducting business ethically.

Furthermore, it brings purpose and fulfillment by reframing work as

worship and a means of advancing God’s Kingdom.

Transitioning from Mammon’s system to God’s requires repentance,

a renewal of the mind, and reliance on the Holy Spirit. Though this

shift can be challenging, it ultimately leads to freedom, peace, and an

eternal impact, aligning us with our true calling as faithful stewards of

God’s resources.

Key Takeaways:

1. Mammon’s System Enslaves – It is driven by scarcity, competition,

deception, and materialism, leading to anxiety and fulfilment.

2. God’s Entrusted System Frees – It is based on stewardship,

abundance, generosity, and integrity, fostering peace and purpose.

3. Stewardship Over Ownership – Recognizing that all resources

belong to God changes how we handle wealth and opportunities.

4. Integrity in Business and Life – God’s system demands ethical

practices and covenantal relationships rather than exploitation.

5. True Success is Kingdom-Aligned – Fulfillment comes from

aligning with God’s plan rather than accumulating wealth.

6. The Holy Spirit Empowers the Transition – Moving from

Mammon’s system to God’s requires divine transformation and

intentional choices.

Reflective Questions:

  1. Understanding the Enslaved System:

  • How would you describe the “Mammon-driven” marketplace in your own words?    ________________________________________________________________  ________________________________________________________________
  • What characteristics of this system do you see present in your personal or  professional life?   ________________________________________________________________  ________________________________________________________________
  • In what areas of your life have you seen the “scarcity mindset” influence your  decisions? How can you shift towards an “abundance mindset” rooted in faith?  ________________________________________________________________  ________________________________________________________________

Example & Practical Exercises:

  1. Abundance vs Scarcity Mindset:

  • Exercise: Take time to evaluate one area of your business or personal life where  you feel scarcity (fear of lack). Write down specific fears or behaviors that stem  from this mindset.    ________________________________________________________________  ________________________________________________________________
  • Now, reframe each fear by focusing on God's abundance and His promises to  provide. For example, if you fear financial loss, focus on scriptures like  Philippians 4:19 or Matthew 6:33.   ________________________________________________________________  ________________________________________________________________

Scripture Meditation for Reflection:

 1. Deuteronomy 10:14 – “To the Lord your God belong the heavens, even the highest  heavens, the earth and everything in it.”

  • Spend a few minutes reflecting on the magnitude of God's ownership. How does  it feel to recognize that everything in your life, from your business to your  relationships, belongs to God?  ________________________________________________________________  ________________________________________________________________

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that all we have belongs to

You. Free us from the grip of Mammon and help us embrace

the freedom of Your Kingdom. Teach us to be faithful stewards,

walking in generosity, integrity, and peace. Align our hearts

with Your will, that our success may be measured by obedience

to You. Holy Spirit, renew our minds and empower us to be

ambassadors of Your truth. We surrender all to You, trusting in

Your provision. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
